Local know-how

TV mounting for every kind of Regina home

Regina has early 1900s character homes around Wascana Lake and Cathedral, lots of 1950s to 1980s bungalows across the north and east, and newer subdivisions on the edges. Nearly every house has a basement, and that is often where the TV goes.

Cathedral and the Crescents

Older homes in Cathedral, the Crescents and Lakeview often date from before 1950 and still have plaster and lath walls. We find the framing first and use plaster anchors so the wall does not crack (+$10).

Brick fireplaces in bungalows

Bungalows in Hillsdale, Whitmore Park, Albert Park and Glencairn often have a brick fireplace from the 1960s or 1970s. Brick takes masonry anchors (+$80), and mounting above the fireplace adds $20.

Newer subdivisions

Harbour Landing, The Greens on Gardiner, Westerra and Rosewood Park are newer homes with drywall over wood studs, often built around a gas fireplace. Standard install from $290, plus $20 above a fireplace.

Basement rec rooms

In Walsh Acres, Normanview, Uplands and most other areas, the basement is the family TV room. Framed basement walls are regular pricing from $290, and a bare concrete foundation wall adds $50.

What TV mounting includes

Every job covers the same essentials: we find the studs or anchor into masonry, level the mount at the height you choose, hang the TV, check that it is secure and clean up. You choose the extras.

Choosing a mount

Fixed, tilting or full-motion?

A fixed mount ($70) keeps the TV flat on the wall at eye level. A tilting mount ($80) angles the screen down, which helps above a fireplace. A full-motion mount ($125) swings and extends for corners and open-concept rooms. You can also use a mount you already have.

Clean look

Hiding the TV wires

We hide TV wires three ways: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable. Power cords should not run loose inside a wall, so in-wall jobs use rated cables and hardware.

TV mounting in Regina: questions

Labour for mounting a TV in Regina starts at $249.99 for screens up to 31 inches, $289.99 for 32 to 60 inches and $309.99 for 61 to 79 inches, before tax. Our mounts add $70, $80 or $125. A 55-inch TV with a tilting mount and wires inside the wall is about $469.49.

For most TVs over 40 inches, yes. We find the studs or the right anchors for plaster, concrete, brick and stone, level the mount, and can hide the wires, so the TV stays up and looks clean. About half of the people who ask us for a quote already own a mount, and we install it for labour only.

A 65-inch TV falls in the 61 to 79 inch group, so labour is $309.99 with your own mount. With our tilting mount it is $389.99, and with wires hidden inside the wall it is $489.49. Add $20 if it goes above a fireplace.

Store prices and what they include change, so check their current price. Ours is on this page: labour from $250, and the quote form shows your exact price before you book. We mount on plaster, concrete, brick and stone, we can hide the wires, and you pay after the job.

Yes, it adds $20. Newer Regina homes usually have a gas fireplace on drywall, while older bungalows often have brick (+$80). We check the clearance in your fireplace manual, and a tilting mount ($80) or a pull-down mantel mount ($70, or $110 motorized) keeps the screen at a comfortable height.

Yes, and it is probably our most common job here. A finished basement with drywall is our standard price from $290 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches. On a bare concrete foundation wall we use masonry anchors, which adds $50. We can also mount a soundbar and hide the wires while we are there.

No. Plaster and lath is common in older homes in Cathedral, the Crescents and Lakeview. We locate the framing behind it and use anchors made for plaster so nothing cracks. Plaster adds $10, and an interior brick chimney or fireplace adds $80.

A good starting point is the middle of the screen at seated eye level, about 42 inches from the floor. Basements with lower ceilings and fireplace walls change that, and a tilting mount helps. Our guide on how high to mount a TV has a chart by screen size.

Yes. There are three options: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway on the wall for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50, which includes a fire-resistant HDMI cable.

Most TV mounts take 45 to 90 minutes. Brick, stone or concrete, wires run inside the wall, or a soundbar added under the TV can take longer, and we tell you before we start.

We work 7 days a week, Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 9am to 7pm. Same-day appointments in Regina are possible when we have an opening, so call or text (587) 899-7495 to check.

You pay after the job by credit card, debit, e-transfer or cash. Our technicians are licensed and covered by $5 million general liability insurance. If you want more peace of mind, you can add optional extra coverage on the installation for 1, 2 or 3 years.
