Local know-how
Airdrie is mostly family homes: 1980s and 1990s houses on the older south and west side, and fast-growing subdivisions to the east and north. Nearly all of them are wood-framed with drywall, so the real questions are the fireplace and the basement.
In Coopers Crossing, Bayside, Ravenswood and Kings Heights, the living room is usually built around a gas fireplace, often with a stone or tile surround. Above the fireplace adds $20, and drilling stone or tile adds $50.
Homes in Big Springs, Woodside, Meadowbrook and Thorburn were mostly built in the 1980s and 1990s, with drywall over wood studs. That is our standard install, from $100 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches.
Plenty of families in Hillcrest, Sagewood and Reunion put the big TV downstairs. A finished basement wall is regular drywall pricing from $100 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches. On a bare concrete foundation wall we use masonry anchors (+$50).
Townhome and duplex rows in Midtown, Cobblestone Creek and Windsong often share a party wall with the neighbours. We mount on drywall over wood studs from $100 and can suggest an outside wall to keep the sound on your side.
Every job covers the same essentials: we find the studs or anchor into masonry, level the mount at the height you choose, hang the TV, check that it is secure and clean up. You choose the extras.
Choosing a mount
A fixed mount ($70) keeps the TV flat on the wall at eye level. A tilting mount ($80) angles the screen down, which helps above a fireplace. A full-motion mount ($125) swings and extends for corners and open-concept rooms. You can also use a mount you already have.

We hide TV wires three ways: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable. Power cords should not run loose inside a wall, so in-wall jobs use rated cables and hardware.
