Local know-how
Kamloops is mostly wood-frame houses: older homes in South Kamloops and on the North Shore, 1970s split-levels in Brocklehurst and Westsyde, and newer hillside homes in Aberdeen, Juniper Ridge and Sun Rivers.
Older houses near downtown, in South Kamloops and on the North Shore, can have plaster walls if they were built before 1950. We find the framing first and use plaster anchors (+$10).
Brocklehurst, Westsyde and Valleyview are full of 1970s split-levels, many with a brick fireplace. Brick adds $80, and putting the TV above the fireplace adds $20.
Homes in Aberdeen, Sahali and Batchelor Heights are mostly drywall over wood studs, often with big open living rooms. That is our standard install, from $290 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches.
In Juniper Ridge, Pineview Valley and Sun Rivers the TV often goes over a gas fireplace with a stone surround. Stone adds $50, and above the fireplace adds $20.
Every job covers the same essentials: we find the studs or anchor into masonry, level the mount at the height you choose, hang the TV, check that it is secure and clean up. You choose the extras.
Choosing a mount
A fixed mount ($70) keeps the TV flat on the wall at eye level. A tilting mount ($80) angles the screen down, which helps above a fireplace. A full-motion mount ($125) swings and extends for corners and open-concept rooms. You can also use a mount you already have.

Clean look
We hide TV wires three ways: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable. Power cords should not run loose inside a wall, so in-wall jobs use rated cables and hardware.

Yes. It is a common request in Aberdeen, Juniper Ridge and Sun Rivers. It adds $20, and we check the clearance in your fireplace manual first. A tilting mount ($80) or a pull-down mantel mount ($70, or $110 motorized) brings the screen to a better angle.
Yes. Most townhouses and low-rise condos here are wood-framed and priced like any drywall job. The concrete buildings downtown need masonry anchors (+$50), and metal studs add $15. Check with your strata about drilling rules before you book.
Yes. We use masonry anchors set into the brick, which adds $80. If the TV goes above the fireplace, add $20. Older homes on the North Shore or in South Kamloops may have plaster elsewhere, which is $10 extra.
