Local know-how
Most Richmond houses date from the 1960s onward, many since rebuilt as large new homes, and townhouse complexes are everywhere. City Centre is now lined with condo towers along the Canada Line.
Condos in City Centre, Brighouse and near Aberdeen and Lansdowne stations have concrete and metal-stud walls. We bring masonry or metal-stud anchors (+$50 concrete, +$15 metal studs) and follow your strata's rules.
Townhouse complexes in Terra Nova, East Cambie and McLennan North are wood frame with drywall, so most installs are standard, from $180 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches. Check strata rules for shared walls.
Large newer homes in Broadmoor, Seafair and Garden City often have a gas fireplace with a stone or tile surround. Tile or stone adds $50, and mounting above a fireplace adds $20.
Steveston and Thompson have many 1960s and 70s houses, some with brick fireplaces, plus a few much older homes near the village. Brick adds $80, and plaster walls add $10.
Every job covers the same essentials: we find the studs or anchor into masonry, level the mount at the height you choose, hang the TV, check that it is secure and clean up. You choose the extras.
Choosing a mount
A fixed mount ($70) keeps the TV flat on the wall at eye level. A tilting mount ($80) angles the screen down, which helps above a fireplace. A full-motion mount ($125) swings and extends for corners and open-concept rooms. You can also use a mount you already have.

Clean look
We hide TV wires three ways: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable. Power cords should not run loose inside a wall, so in-wall jobs use rated cables and hardware.
Real TVs mounted by Pixl technicians: above fireplaces, on tile and stone feature walls, in condos and flush Frame TVs.

Three steps, and most TV mounts take 45 to 90 minutes.

Nimona FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an amazing experience with this installer and couldn’t be happier with the work. He installed three TVs for me, added lighting behind them, set up a sound bar, handled wall concealment, and even helped with mounting wall pictures. Everything looks clean, professional, and perfectly done. What really stood out was his patience and commitment. One of my TVs arrived cracked, and he had to wait over a month until I replaced it. Despite that, he came back without any issues and completed the job just as promised. Truly outstanding service from start to finish. I would definitely give 5 stars—honestly, even more if it were possible. Highly recommend! B D.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Labour for mounting a TV in Richmond starts at $129.99 for screens up to 31 inches, $178.99 for 32 to 60 inches and $199.99 for 61 to 79 inches, before tax. Our mounts add $70, $80 or $125. A 55-inch TV with a tilting mount and wires inside the wall is about $358.49.
For most TVs over 40 inches, yes. We find the studs or the right anchors for plaster, concrete, brick and stone, level the mount, and can hide the wires, so the TV stays up and looks clean. About half of the people who ask us for a quote already own a mount, and we install it for labour only.
A 65-inch TV falls in the 61 to 79 inch group, so labour is $199.99 with your own mount. With our tilting mount it is $279.99, and with wires hidden inside the wall it is $379.49. Add $20 if it goes above a fireplace.
Store prices and what they include change, so check their current price. Ours is on this page: labour from $130, and the quote form shows your exact price before you book. We mount on plaster, concrete, brick and stone, we can hide the wires, and you pay after the job.
Yes. Above a fireplace adds $20, and stone or tile adds $50 for masonry anchors. We check the clearances in your fireplace manual, and a tilting mount ($80) or pull-down mantel mount ($70, or $110 motorized) keeps the screen at a comfortable angle in tall living rooms.
Yes. Towers along the Canada Line have concrete walls and metal-stud partitions, so we bring masonry anchors (+$50) or metal-stud anchors (+$15). Most stratas have rules about drilling and elevator bookings, so check with your building manager before booking.
Yes. We set masonry anchors into solid brick, which adds $80, plus $20 for mounting above the fireplace. If the house has older plaster walls, plaster anchors add $10. We check the fireplace clearances before deciding on the height.
Aim for the middle of the screen to be roughly at seated eye level, which works out to about 42 inches off the floor for most couches. In a bedroom or over a mantel it often goes higher, so we may suggest a tilting mount. See how high to mount a TV for a size-by-size chart.
The simplest is running them through an existing channel, for $25. A paintable raceway on the wall is $60, and running everything inside the wall is $99.50, with a fire-resistant HDMI cable included.
