Local know-how
Prince George is mostly wood-frame houses, many with a full basement: older homes near downtown in the Crescents and Millar Addition, 1960s to 1980s houses in the Hart and Spruceland, and newer builds near UNBC.
Many houses in the Crescents and Millar Addition were built in the first half of the 1900s and can have plaster and lath walls. We find the framing first and use plaster anchors (+$10).
Split-levels and bungalows in Spruceland, the VLA and the Hart often have a brick fireplace or a wood stove hearth. Brick adds $80, and mounting above a fireplace adds $20.
Homes in College Heights, University Heights and Cranbrook Hill are drywall over wood studs. That is our standard install, from $290 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches, often with wires hidden in the wall.
Long winters mean a lot of Prince George families watch TV downstairs. Framed basement walls in Hart Highlands or Westwood are standard drywall. Bare concrete foundation walls take masonry anchors (+$50).
Every job covers the same essentials: we find the studs or anchor into masonry, level the mount at the height you choose, hang the TV, check that it is secure and clean up. You choose the extras.
Choosing a mount
A fixed mount ($70) keeps the TV flat on the wall at eye level. A tilting mount ($80) angles the screen down, which helps above a fireplace. A full-motion mount ($125) swings and extends for corners and open-concept rooms. You can also use a mount you already have.

Clean look
We hide TV wires three ways: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable. Power cords should not run loose inside a wall, so in-wall jobs use rated cables and hardware.
Real TVs mounted by Pixl technicians: above fireplaces, on tile and stone feature walls, in condos and flush Frame TVs.

Three steps, and most TV mounts take 45 to 90 minutes.

Nimona FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an amazing experience with this installer and couldn’t be happier with the work. He installed three TVs for me, added lighting behind them, set up a sound bar, handled wall concealment, and even helped with mounting wall pictures. Everything looks clean, professional, and perfectly done. What really stood out was his patience and commitment. One of my TVs arrived cracked, and he had to wait over a month until I replaced it. Despite that, he came back without any issues and completed the job just as promised. Truly outstanding service from start to finish. I would definitely give 5 stars—honestly, even more if it were possible. Highly recommend! B D.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Labour for mounting a TV in Prince George starts at $249.99 for screens up to 31 inches, $289.99 for 32 to 60 inches and $309.99 for 61 to 79 inches, before tax. Our mounts add $70, $80 or $125. A 55-inch TV with a tilting mount and wires inside the wall is about $469.49.
For most TVs over 40 inches, yes. We find the studs or the right anchors for plaster, concrete, brick and stone, level the mount, and can hide the wires, so the TV stays up and looks clean. About half of the people who ask us for a quote already own a mount, and we install it for labour only.
A 65-inch TV falls in the 61 to 79 inch group, so labour is $309.99 with your own mount. With our tilting mount it is $389.99, and with wires hidden inside the wall it is $489.49. Add $20 if it goes above a fireplace.
Store prices and what they include change, so check their current price. Ours is on this page: labour from $250, and the quote form shows your exact price before you book. We mount on plaster, concrete, brick and stone, we can hide the wires, and you pay after the job.
Above a fireplace, yes, for $20 more, after we check the clearance in your fireplace manual. Brick fireplaces add $80. We do not recommend a TV directly above a wood stove, since the heat can damage it. A tilting mount ($80) or a pull-down mantel mount ($70, or $110 motorized) helps with higher placements.
Yes. Basement rec rooms are very common in Prince George. Framed walls with drywall are a standard install. If you want the TV on the bare concrete foundation, we use masonry anchors, which adds $50. Renters should check with the landlord first.
No. Plaster and lath is common in older Prince George homes in the Crescents and Millar Addition. We locate the framing first and use anchors made for plaster so the wall does not crack. Plaster adds $10.
A simple rule is the centre of the screen at seated eye level, about 42 inches from the floor. In a basement with a low ceiling that still works well. Our guide on how high to mount a TV has a chart by screen size.
Yes. Using an existing channel costs $25, a paintable raceway on the wall is $60, and inside the wall is $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable included. On an outside wall we check the insulation and vapour barrier first.

Yes. Along with Prince George we cover Vanderhoof, Quesnel, Mackenzie, Hixon and Fort St. James, at the same prices. Longer drives need a bit more notice, so book a few days ahead if you can.
You pay after the job by credit or debit card, e-transfer or cash. Our technicians are licensed and carry $5 million general liability insurance, and you can add optional extra coverage on the installation for 1, 2 or 3 years.
In northern BC we also mount TVs in Fort St. John, and further south in Kamloops. We set up home theatres and soundbars too, and businesses can see Pixl for Businesses.
