Local know-how
Gatineau stretches along the Ottawa River, from the older streets of Hull and the suburbs of Aylmer to newer areas in the east and Buckingham. Houses, townhomes and condo buildings all show up in our day.
Hull has older houses and low-rise buildings, some with plaster walls and some with brick. We find solid framing and use plaster anchors (+$10), or masonry anchors on brick (+$80).
Aylmer, the Gatineau sector and Masson-Angers have many bungalows and two-storeys from the 1970s on. Most are drywall over wood studs, our standard install, from $220 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches, though some have a brick fireplace (+$80).
Newer houses and townhomes often have a gas fireplace wall. Mounting above a fireplace adds $20, and a stone or tile surround adds $50. We check the clearance in your fireplace manual.
Condo and apartment buildings in Hull and Aylmer usually have concrete walls (+$50) or metal studs (+$15), and some limit drilling. Ask your condo board or landlord first.
Every job covers the same essentials: we find the studs or anchor into masonry, level the mount at the height you choose, hang the TV, check that it is secure and clean up. You choose the extras.
Choosing a mount
A fixed mount ($70) keeps the TV flat on the wall at eye level. A tilting mount ($80) angles the screen down, which helps above a fireplace. A full-motion mount ($125) swings and extends for corners and open-concept rooms. You can also use a mount you already have.

Clean look
We hide TV wires three ways: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable. Power cords should not run loose inside a wall, so in-wall jobs use rated cables and hardware.
Real TVs mounted by Pixl technicians: above fireplaces, on tile and stone feature walls, in condos and flush Frame TVs.

Three steps, and most TV mounts take 45 to 90 minutes.

Nimona FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an amazing experience with this installer and couldn’t be happier with the work. He installed three TVs for me, added lighting behind them, set up a sound bar, handled wall concealment, and even helped with mounting wall pictures. Everything looks clean, professional, and perfectly done. What really stood out was his patience and commitment. One of my TVs arrived cracked, and he had to wait over a month until I replaced it. Despite that, he came back without any issues and completed the job just as promised. Truly outstanding service from start to finish. I would definitely give 5 stars—honestly, even more if it were possible. Highly recommend! B D.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Labour for mounting a TV in Gatineau starts at $159.99 for screens up to 31 inches, $219.99 for 32 to 60 inches and $229.99 for 61 to 79 inches, before tax. Our mounts add $70, $80 or $125. A 55-inch TV with a tilting mount and wires inside the wall is about $399.49.
For most TVs over 40 inches, yes. We find the studs or the right anchors for plaster, concrete, brick and stone, level the mount, and can hide the wires, so the TV stays up and looks clean. About half of the people who ask us for a quote already own a mount, and we install it for labour only.
A 65-inch TV falls in the 61 to 79 inch group, so labour is $229.99 with your own mount. With our tilting mount it is $309.99, and with wires hidden inside the wall it is $409.49. Add $20 if it goes above a fireplace.
Store prices and what they include change, so check their current price. Ours is on this page: labour from $160, and the quote form shows your exact price before you book. We mount on plaster, concrete, brick and stone, we can hide the wires, and you pay after the job.
Yes, for $20 extra. We check the clearance your fireplace needs, and a tilting mount ($80) or a pull-down mantel mount ($70, or $110 motorized) keeps the screen at a comfortable angle. A brick surround adds $80, stone or tile $50.
Yes. Buildings in Hull and Aylmer often have concrete or metal-stud walls, so we bring masonry anchors (+$50) or metal-stud anchors (+$15). In a rental, get your landlord’s okay first, since a mount leaves screw holes, and in a condo check the building’s rules on drilling.
Yes. Plaster over old framing happens in older houses. We find the framing first and use plaster anchors so the wall does not crack, which adds $10. On a brick wall we use masonry anchors, which adds $80.
Aim for the centre of the screen at about seated eye level, which is around 42 inches from the floor in most living rooms. Fireplace walls and bedrooms are different, and a tilting mount helps there. Our guide on how high to mount a TV has a chart by screen size.
Yes. We can use an existing channel for $25, put the cables in a paintable raceway on the wall for $60, or run them inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable included. On brick and plaster walls a raceway is usually the cleaner option.
Most installs take 45 to 90 minutes. Stone, brick or concrete walls, wires inside the wall and a soundbar can add time, and old plaster walls need a slower drill, so we give you an idea before we start.
We work 7 days a week, Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 9am to 7pm. Same-day appointments in Gatineau happen when we have an opening, so call or text (587) 899-7495 and ask.
You pay once the TV is up and you are happy with it, by credit or debit card, e-transfer or cash. Our technicians are licensed and carry $5 million general liability insurance, and optional extra coverage on the installation is available for 1, 2 or 3 years.
We also mount TVs in Ottawa, just across the river, and in Montreal. In Gatineau we also set up home theatres and soundbars. Mounting screens in an office, restaurant or clinic? See Pixl for Businesses. Cette page est aussi disponible en français.
