Local know-how
North Vancouver is really two places: the City, with older houses and concrete towers along Lonsdale, and the District, where most people live in post-war and 1970s homes on wooded hillsides.
Condos in Lower Lonsdale, the Shipyards area and Central Lonsdale have concrete and metal-stud walls. We use masonry or metal-stud anchors (+$50 concrete, +$15 metal studs) and follow your strata's drilling rules.
Some houses in Moodyville and Central Lonsdale go back to the early 1900s and can still have plaster walls. We locate the framing first and use plaster anchors (+$10) so nothing cracks.
Lynn Valley, Edgemont and Upper Lonsdale have plenty of 1950s to 70s homes, often with a brick or stone fireplace. Brick adds $80, stone adds $50, and drywall walls start at $180 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches.
Homes around Deep Cove, Dollarton and Blueridge range from older cottages to rebuilt houses with a gas fireplace wall. We check clearances and suggest a tilting or pull-down mount (+$20 above a fireplace).
Every job covers the same essentials: we find the studs or anchor into masonry, level the mount at the height you choose, hang the TV, check that it is secure and clean up. You choose the extras.
Choosing a mount
A fixed mount ($70) keeps the TV flat on the wall at eye level. A tilting mount ($80) angles the screen down, which helps above a fireplace. A full-motion mount ($125) swings and extends for corners and open-concept rooms. You can also use a mount you already have.

Clean look
We hide TV wires three ways: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable. Power cords should not run loose inside a wall, so in-wall jobs use rated cables and hardware.
Real TVs mounted by Pixl technicians: above fireplaces, on tile and stone feature walls, in condos and flush Frame TVs.

Nimona FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an amazing experience with this installer and couldn’t be happier with the work. He installed three TVs for me, added lighting behind them, set up a sound bar, handled wall concealment, and even helped with mounting wall pictures. Everything looks clean, professional, and perfectly done. What really stood out was his patience and commitment. One of my TVs arrived cracked, and he had to wait over a month until I replaced it. Despite that, he came back without any issues and completed the job just as promised. Truly outstanding service from start to finish. I would definitely give 5 stars—honestly, even more if it were possible. Highly recommend! B D.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Labour for mounting a TV in North Vancouver starts at $129.99 for screens up to 31 inches, $178.99 for 32 to 60 inches and $199.99 for 61 to 79 inches, before tax. Our mounts add $70, $80 or $125. A 55-inch TV with a tilting mount and wires inside the wall is about $358.49.
For most TVs over 40 inches, yes. We find the studs or the right anchors for plaster, concrete, brick and stone, level the mount, and can hide the wires, so the TV stays up and looks clean. About half of the people who ask us for a quote already own a mount, and we install it for labour only.
A 65-inch TV falls in the 61 to 79 inch group, so labour is $199.99 with your own mount. With our tilting mount it is $279.99, and with wires hidden inside the wall it is $379.49. Add $20 if it goes above a fireplace.
Store prices and what they include change, so check their current price. Ours is on this page: labour from $130, and the quote form shows your exact price before you book. We mount on plaster, concrete, brick and stone, we can hide the wires, and you pay after the job.
Yes. Above a fireplace adds $20, and drilling into brick adds $80 (stone is $50). We check the clearances in your fireplace manual and use masonry anchors set into solid brick. A tilting mount ($80) or pull-down mantel mount ($70, or $110 motorized) keeps the viewing angle comfortable.
Yes. Some older North Vancouver houses still have plaster and lath. We find the framing before drilling and use plaster anchors so the wall doesn’t crack. Plaster adds $10, and a brick chimney adds $80 if the TV goes there.
Aim for the middle of the screen to be roughly at seated eye level, which works out to about 42 inches off the floor for most couches. In a bedroom or over a mantel it often goes higher, so we may suggest a tilting mount. See how high to mount a TV for a size-by-size chart.
The simplest is running them through an existing channel, for $25. A paintable raceway on the wall is $60, and running everything inside the wall is $99.50, with a fire-resistant HDMI cable included.
