Local know-how
Quebec City mixes centuries-old stone buildings in the old town, triplexes in Saint-Roch and Limoilou, postwar houses in Sainte-Foy and Sillery, and newer homes in Charlesbourg, Beauport and Les Rivieres.
Buildings in Old Quebec and nearby streets have thick stone or masonry walls, and some are heritage-protected. We use masonry anchors (+$50 stone, +$80 brick) and a raceway is often the cleaner way to hide wires. Check heritage and condo rules first.
Limoilou, Saint-Sauveur, Sainte-Foy and Sillery have older triplexes and 1950s to 1970s houses, with a mix of plaster and drywall over wood studs. Plaster adds $10, and drywall is our standard install, from $290 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches.
Newer houses in Charlesbourg, Beauport and Les Rivieres often have a gas fireplace wall. Mounting above a fireplace adds $20, and a stone or tile surround adds $50. We check the clearance in your fireplace manual.
Condo and apartment towers downtown and in Sainte-Foy usually have concrete walls (+$50) or metal studs (+$15), and some buildings limit drilling. Ask your condo board or landlord first.
Every job covers the same essentials: we find the studs or anchor into masonry, level the mount at the height you choose, hang the TV, check that it is secure and clean up. You choose the extras.
Choosing a mount
A fixed mount ($70) keeps the TV flat on the wall at eye level. A tilting mount ($80) angles the screen down, which helps above a fireplace. A full-motion mount ($125) swings and extends for corners and open-concept rooms. You can also use a mount you already have.

Clean look
We hide TV wires three ways: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable. Power cords should not run loose inside a wall, so in-wall jobs use rated cables and hardware.
Real TVs mounted by Pixl technicians: above fireplaces, on tile and stone feature walls, in condos and flush Frame TVs.

Three steps, and most TV mounts take 45 to 90 minutes.

Nimona FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an amazing experience with this installer and couldn’t be happier with the work. He installed three TVs for me, added lighting behind them, set up a sound bar, handled wall concealment, and even helped with mounting wall pictures. Everything looks clean, professional, and perfectly done. What really stood out was his patience and commitment. One of my TVs arrived cracked, and he had to wait over a month until I replaced it. Despite that, he came back without any issues and completed the job just as promised. Truly outstanding service from start to finish. I would definitely give 5 stars—honestly, even more if it were possible. Highly recommend! B D.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Labour for mounting a TV in Quebec City starts at $249.99 for screens up to 31 inches, $289.99 for 32 to 60 inches and $309.99 for 61 to 79 inches, before tax. Our mounts add $70, $80 or $125. A 55-inch TV with a tilting mount and wires inside the wall is about $469.49.
For most TVs over 40 inches, yes. We find the studs or the right anchors for plaster, concrete, brick and stone, level the mount, and can hide the wires, so the TV stays up and looks clean. About half of the people who ask us for a quote already own a mount, and we install it for labour only.
A 65-inch TV falls in the 61 to 79 inch group, so labour is $309.99 with your own mount. With our tilting mount it is $389.99, and with wires hidden inside the wall it is $489.49. Add $20 if it goes above a fireplace.
Store prices and what they include change, so check their current price. Ours is on this page: labour from $250, and the quote form shows your exact price before you book. We mount on plaster, concrete, brick and stone, we can hide the wires, and you pay after the job.
Yes, for $20 extra. We check the clearance your fireplace needs, and a tilting mount ($80) or a pull-down mantel mount ($70, or $110 motorized) keeps the screen at a comfortable angle. A brick surround adds $80, stone or tile $50.
Yes. Towers and apartment buildings often have concrete or metal-stud walls, so we bring masonry anchors (+$50) or metal-stud anchors (+$15). In a rental, get your landlord’s okay first, since a mount leaves screw holes, and in a condo check the building’s rules on drilling.
Yes. Old stone and masonry walls take masonry anchors, which adds $50 for stone and $80 for brick, and plaster over old framing takes plaster anchors, which adds $10. If the building is heritage-protected, check what you are allowed to drill first.
Aim for the centre of the screen at about seated eye level, which is around 42 inches from the floor in most living rooms. Fireplace walls and bedrooms are different, and a tilting mount helps there. Our guide on how high to mount a TV has a chart by screen size.
Yes. We can use an existing channel for $25, put the cables in a paintable raceway on the wall for $60, or run them inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable included. On stone, brick and plaster walls a raceway is usually the cleaner option.
Most installs take 45 to 90 minutes. Stone, brick or concrete walls, wires inside the wall and a soundbar can add time, and old plaster walls need a slower drill, so we give you an idea before we start.
