Local know-how
Sudbury’s housing follows its mining history: older homes near downtown and in former company towns like Copper Cliff, post-war bungalows in New Sudbury and Minnow Lake, lake homes in the South End, and newer builds in the Valley.
Houses in the Flour Mill, Donovan, Gatchell and Copper Cliff are often 1950s or older, with plaster walls or a brick chimney. We use plaster anchors (+$10) and masonry anchors for brick (+$80).
Bungalows and back-splits in New Sudbury, Minnow Lake and the West End are mostly drywall over wood studs, many with a 1970s brick fireplace. Drywall starts at $180 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches, brick adds $80.
Homes near Ramsey Lake, Lake Nepahwin and Long Lake, and around Lo-Ellen, often have a big stone or brick fireplace facing the water. Stone adds $50, brick $80, and above the fireplace adds $20.
Newer houses in Val Caron, Hanmer and Chelmsford usually have drywall over wood studs and often a gas fireplace on the TV wall. Standard installs start at $180 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches, plus $20 above a fireplace.
Every job covers the same essentials: we find the studs or anchor into masonry, level the mount at the height you choose, hang the TV, check that it is secure and clean up. You choose the extras.
Choosing a mount
A fixed mount ($70) keeps the TV flat on the wall at eye level. A tilting mount ($80) angles the screen down, which helps above a fireplace. A full-motion mount ($125) swings and extends for corners and open-concept rooms. You can also use a mount you already have.

Clean look
We hide TV wires three ways: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable. Power cords should not run loose inside a wall, so in-wall jobs use rated cables and hardware.
Real TVs mounted by Pixl technicians: above fireplaces, on tile and stone feature walls, in condos and flush Frame TVs.

Three steps, and most TV mounts take 45 to 90 minutes.

Nimona FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an amazing experience with this installer and couldn’t be happier with the work. He installed three TVs for me, added lighting behind them, set up a sound bar, handled wall concealment, and even helped with mounting wall pictures. Everything looks clean, professional, and perfectly done. What really stood out was his patience and commitment. One of my TVs arrived cracked, and he had to wait over a month until I replaced it. Despite that, he came back without any issues and completed the job just as promised. Truly outstanding service from start to finish. I would definitely give 5 stars—honestly, even more if it were possible. Highly recommend! B D.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Labour for mounting a TV in Sudbury starts at $159.99 for screens up to 31 inches, $179.99 for 32 to 60 inches and $199.99 for 61 to 79 inches, before tax. Our mounts add $70, $80 or $125. A 55-inch TV with a tilting mount and wires inside the wall is about $359.49.
For most TVs over 40 inches, yes. We find the studs or the right anchors for plaster, concrete, brick and stone, level the mount, and can hide the wires, so the TV stays up and looks clean. About half of the people who ask us for a quote already own a mount, and we install it for labour only.
A 65-inch TV falls in the 61 to 79 inch group, so labour is $199.99 with your own mount. With our tilting mount it is $279.99, and with wires hidden inside the wall it is $379.49. Add $20 if it goes above a fireplace.
Store prices and what they include change, so check their current price. Ours is on this page: labour from $160, and the quote form shows your exact price before you book. We mount on plaster, concrete, brick and stone, we can hide the wires, and you pay after the job.
Yes. Lots of South End and lakeside homes have one. Above a fireplace adds $20, plus $50 for stone or $80 for brick. We drill into solid masonry, not the mortar, and suggest a tilting mount ($80) or a pull-down mantel mount ($70, or $110 motorized).
Yes. Apartments and student rentals near Laurentian and downtown are usually drywall over wood or metal studs (+$15 for metal). A concrete wall adds $50. Check with your landlord before we drill, since many leases ask for permission.
Yes. Plaster and lath is common in the Flour Mill, Gatchell, Donovan and Copper Cliff. We locate the framing first and drill slowly so the plaster does not crack, then use anchors made for it. Plaster adds $10.
As a rule of thumb, the centre of the screen should be near eye level when you are sitting, about 42 inches from the floor. Over a fireplace it ends up higher, so a tilting mount helps. Our guide on how high to mount a TV has a chart by screen size.
Yes. Through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway on the wall for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable included. In plaster or brick, we check what is possible before we start.
