Local know-how
TV mounting for every kind of Toronto home
Toronto has every kind of wall. Downtown is condo towers, the older inner neighbourhoods are Victorian and Edwardian houses with plaster and brick, and Etobicoke, North York and Scarborough are full of postwar bungalows.
Downtown condo towers
Condos in CityPlace, Liberty Village, King West and Yonge and Eglinton have concrete and metal-stud walls. We bring the right anchors (+$50 concrete, +$15 metal studs). Check your building rules before booking.
Victorian and Edwardian houses
Semis and row houses in the Annex, Leslieville, Roncesvalles and Cabbagetown often have plaster and lath walls. We find the framing before drilling and use plaster anchors (+$10).
Brick lofts and fireplaces
Converted lofts near Queen West and the Junction often have exposed brick, and older houses have brick fireplaces. Brick takes masonry anchors (+$80), plus $20 to mount above a fireplace.
Postwar bungalows
Bungalows and side-splits in Etobicoke, Don Mills, Willowdale and Scarborough are mostly drywall over wood studs. That is our standard install, from $120 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches.
What TV mounting includes
Every job covers the same essentials: we find the studs or anchor into masonry, level the mount at the height you choose, hang the TV, check that it is secure and clean up. You choose the extras.
Included in every install
- Finding studs or anchoring into brick, tile or concrete
- Mounting at the height you choose
- Levelling and a secure-fit check
- Connecting your devices to the TV
- Cleaning up before we leave
Before we arrive
- Have the TV and mount on site, or order a mount from us
- Clear the wall and the space in front of it
- Know which devices go with the TV
- Text us a photo if the wall is brick, tile or stone
Extras you can add
- Hide the wires in the wall or a raceway
- Soundbar and soundbar mount
- Frame TV or pull-down mantel mount
- Take down your old TV
- Devices behind the TV
Choosing a mount
Fixed, tilting or full-motion?
A fixed mount ($70) keeps the TV flat on the wall at eye level. A tilting mount ($80) angles the screen down, which helps above a fireplace. A full-motion mount ($125) swings and extends for corners and open-concept rooms. You can also use a mount you already have.

Clean look
Hiding the TV wires
We hide TV wires three ways: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable. Power cords should not run loose inside a wall, so in-wall jobs use rated cables and hardware.

Nimona FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an amazing experience with this installer and couldn’t be happier with the work. He installed three TVs for me, added lighting behind them, set up a sound bar, handled wall concealment, and even helped with mounting wall pictures. Everything looks clean, professional, and perfectly done. What really stood out was his patience and commitment. One of my TVs arrived cracked, and he had to wait over a month until I replaced it. Despite that, he came back without any issues and completed the job just as promised. Truly outstanding service from start to finish. I would definitely give 5 stars—honestly, even more if it were possible. Highly recommend! B D.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. TV mounting in Toronto: questions
How much does it cost to mount a TV in Toronto?
Half of the Toronto quotes we received in the last 90 days came to between $130 and $305, with a median of $210. Labour starts at $90 for screens up to 31 inches and $120 for 32 to 60 inches. Our mounts add $70, $80 or $125, and wires hidden inside the wall are $99.50. Your exact price shows in the quote form.
Is it worth paying a professional to mount a TV?
For most TVs over 40 inches, yes. We find the studs or the right anchors for plaster, concrete, brick and stone, level the mount, and can hide the wires, so the TV stays up and looks clean. About half of the people who ask us for a quote already own a mount, and we install it for labour only.
How much does it cost to mount a 65 inch TV in Toronto?
A 65-inch TV falls in the 61 to 79 inch group, so labour is $129.49 with your own mount. With our tilting mount it is $209.49, and with wires hidden inside the wall it is $308.99. Add $20 if it goes above a fireplace.
How much does Home Depot charge to mount a TV?
Store prices and what they include change, so check their current price. Ours is on this page: labour from $90, and the quote form shows your exact price before you book. We mount on plaster, concrete, brick and stone, we can hide the wires, and you pay after the job.
Can you mount a TV above my fireplace?
Yes, for $20 more. Older Toronto houses usually have a brick fireplace (+$80 for brick), and newer townhouses a gas fireplace wall. We check the clearance in your fireplace manual, and a tilting mount ($80) or pull-down mantel mount ($70, or $110 motorized) makes the higher spot easier to watch.
Do you mount TVs in Toronto condos?
Yes, condos are a big part of our Toronto work. Walls are often concrete or metal studs, so we bring masonry or metal-stud anchors (+$50 for concrete, +$15 for metal studs). Many buildings limit drilling into concrete or shared walls and have elevator booking rules, so check with your property manager first.
My house in the Annex has plaster walls. Is that a problem?
No. Plaster and lath is common in older houses in the Annex, Leslieville, Roncesvalles and Riverdale. We locate the framing first and use anchors made for plaster so the wall does not crack. Plaster adds $10, and brick adds $80.
How high should my TV be mounted?
A good starting point is the centre of the screen at seated eye level, about 42 inches from the floor. Smaller condo living rooms often suit a slightly lower height. Our guide on how high to mount a TV has a chart by screen size.
Can you hide the TV wires?
Yes. Through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway on the wall for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable included. In concrete condos the raceway is usually the cleanest option.
How long does it take?
Most TV mounts take 45 to 90 minutes. Concrete, brick, in-wall wiring and soundbars take longer. Condo buildings with elevator bookings or loading dock rules can add some time too.
Can you come today or on the weekend?
We work 7 days a week in Toronto, Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 9am to 7pm. Same-day appointments are available when we have an opening, so call or text (587) 899-7495 to check.
How do I pay, and are you insured?
You pay after the job by credit or debit card, e-transfer or cash. Our technicians are licensed and covered by $5 million general liability insurance, which many condo buildings ask for, and you can add optional extra coverage on the install for 1, 2 or 3 years.
Also in and around Toronto
Around the GTA we also mount TVs in Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville and Oshawa. In Toronto we install security cameras (WiFi cameras from $200 for 1 or 2) and wired CCTV systems with a free quote, and set up home theatres and soundbars. Mounting screens for a business? See Pixl for Businesses.
