Local know-how
Okotoks is a town of mostly newer wood-frame homes, built fast from the 1990s on, with a small core of older houses near Elizabeth Street and downtown. Gas fireplaces, bonus rooms and finished basements are everywhere.
The older blocks around downtown have some mid-century houses, a few with plaster (+$10) or a brick fireplace (+$80). Cimarron grew up in the 1980s and 90s, mostly drywall over wood studs, from $200 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches.
Drake Landing, Sheep River, Westmount and D'Arcy are full of two-storeys with a gas fireplace in the great room, often with a stone or tile surround. Above the fireplace adds $20, stone or tile $50.
Homes in Crystal Shores and Crystal Ridge are mostly 2000s builds with drywall over wood studs, often with a big fireplace wall facing the lake or the yard. Drywall starts at $200 for TVs from 32 to 60 inches.
Executive homes in Air Ranch and along the river often have tall ceilings and stone fireplaces. We bring longer ladders and the right anchors, and stone adds $50.
Every job covers the same essentials: we find the studs or anchor into masonry, level the mount at the height you choose, hang the TV, check that it is secure and clean up. You choose the extras.
Choosing a mount
A fixed mount ($70) keeps the TV flat on the wall at eye level. A tilting mount ($80) angles the screen down, which helps above a fireplace. A full-motion mount ($125) swings and extends for corners and open-concept rooms. You can also use a mount you already have.

Clean look
We hide TV wires three ways: through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50 with a fire-resistant HDMI cable. Power cords should not run loose inside a wall, so in-wall jobs use rated cables and hardware.
Real TVs mounted by Pixl technicians: above fireplaces, on tile and stone feature walls, in condos and flush Frame TVs.

Three steps, and most TV mounts take 45 to 90 minutes.

Nimona FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an amazing experience with this installer and couldn’t be happier with the work. He installed three TVs for me, added lighting behind them, set up a sound bar, handled wall concealment, and even helped with mounting wall pictures. Everything looks clean, professional, and perfectly done. What really stood out was his patience and commitment. One of my TVs arrived cracked, and he had to wait over a month until I replaced it. Despite that, he came back without any issues and completed the job just as promised. Truly outstanding service from start to finish. I would definitely give 5 stars—honestly, even more if it were possible. Highly recommend! B D.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Labour for mounting a TV in Okotoks starts at $149.99 for screens up to 31 inches, $199.99 for 32 to 60 inches and $209.99 for 61 to 79 inches, before tax. Our mounts add $70, $80 or $125. A 55-inch TV with a tilting mount and wires inside the wall is about $379.49.
For most TVs over 40 inches, yes. We find the studs or the right anchors for plaster, concrete, brick and stone, level the mount, and can hide the wires, so the TV stays up and looks clean. About half of the people who ask us for a quote already own a mount, and we install it for labour only.
A 65-inch TV falls in the 61 to 79 inch group, so labour is $209.99 with your own mount. With our tilting mount it is $289.99, and with wires hidden inside the wall it is $389.49. Add $20 if it goes above a fireplace.
Store prices and what they include change, so check their current price. Ours is on this page: labour from $150, and the quote form shows your exact price before you book. We mount on plaster, concrete, brick and stone, we can hide the wires, and you pay after the job.
Yes, it is the most common job we do in Okotoks. It adds $20. We check the clearance your fireplace manual asks for, and a tilting mount ($80) or a pull-down mantel mount ($70, or $110 motorized) keeps the screen at a comfortable angle from the couch.
Yes. Finished basements and bonus rooms are drywall over wood studs, the standard price. A bare concrete foundation wall adds $50. Many families here put a second TV downstairs, and we can do both in one visit.
Yes. Stone surrounds are common in Air Ranch and Crystal Shores, and some older homes near downtown have brick. We drill into solid stone or brick, not grout or mortar, with masonry anchors. Stone or tile adds $50, brick adds $80.
For most rooms, the centre of the screen should be about at eye level when you sit down, roughly 42 inches off the floor. Above a fireplace it is higher, so tilting helps. Our guide on how high to mount a TV lists heights by screen size.
Yes. Through an existing channel for $25, in a paintable raceway on the wall for $60, or inside the wall for $99.50, which includes a fire-resistant HDMI cable. We let you know which option fits your wall before starting.
Most installs take 45 to 90 minutes. Stone, brick, in-wall wiring, a tall wall or a soundbar can make it a bit longer. If you have several TVs, mention them all when you book.
